Let's face it, if you're a human being chances are you hate ironing. It's the only housekeeping task I can think of that is monotonous, boring and time consuming. So what can you do to spice things up a bit, since ironing is here to stay why not make it an extreme sport.

Extreme ironing began life in 1995, an American rock band ”Monster Magnet“ featured extreme ironing in the video for their song “Negasonic Teenage Warhead”. 2 years later Phil Shaw from Leicester (East Midlands, UK) decided after a long day at work to combine ironing with rock climbing and made the sport famous around the world.

Many branches and adaptations of extreme ironings have become since the discovery in 1995. The most extreme version is believed to be bungee ironing which as the name suggests bungee jumping whilst ironing.
