There is no other way to put it, it’s mental. So exciting and full of crashes and smashes since in the competition is so fierce. It takes inspiration from the snowboarding discipline of boarder-cross and despite being timed it is seen as a freestyle skiing discipline.
Getting down in one piece is a mammoth of a task without the pushing and shoving from the other competitors.

  1. Have a plan – Everyone else is going to have one and wants to be the first over the line. The course will change but you need to have a good idea of what you’re going to do.
  2. Start Fast – A good start will put you in front out of the way of everyone else and reducing the chance of you being taken out.
  3. Don’t do anything stupid – Taking someone out is harsh and not far off cheating, coming first is the goal but at what cost?
